Research for macro video shooting...


TIPS:


1. Use a tripod. 2. Use a remote release

3. Use mirror lock up (or on the 50D or 7D the superior silent release modes from within live view)

4. align the camera precisely with the most imporant detail of your subject, DOF will be shallow, no matter what you do.

5. look at the background if there is anything in close distance behind the intended target - this will look ugly if you stop down too much to get more DOF. 6. stop down as much as you are without breaking the image due to 5.

7. refrain from using the flash, more often than not it ruins the image completely.

8. if you need more light on your subject then use a reflector, if there is too much (bright sunshine) a folding diffusor will do the trick...
